Take a hike

I forget how much I love hiking until I go.

I LOVE it.

Carter and I are off to get our hike on,
call in the next hour if you want to come with.

P.S. I promise I am wearing a swimsuit and a tank top in this picture.

Funny Story

Last night I found cheap tickets back to the mainland on the 10th and the 13th. We are supposed to be out of our apartment by the 11th so I wanted to buy the earlier tickets but knew there was a chance Li had a final that day and wouldn't be able to go.

I didn't want to miss the deal so I considered buying the later tickets and finding somewhere else to stay for the other 2 days. But I didn't.

This morning Li found out that he did indeed have a final and couldn't leave the 10th. We sucked it up and went online to buy the tickets for the 13th. Now there were no cheap tickets until the 16th.

Instead of finding somewhere to stay for 2 days we now have 5.

Sleep over anyone?

Camping trip?

Family Circus

Li and I have taken over a house of 6 kids from 4-17 for a week.

It's 8:15am on Day 1 and already I am so tired.

Glad our kids are coming one at a time.

Details?

So I went to the doctor the other day for a UTI, the 2nd love of my life. She prescribed an antibiotic. I asked her if I should take that if there was any chance I was pregnant. She said no and decided to test just in case. The tester lady came in with a slip of paper and it said positive on it. Time pretty much stopped. I was REALLY hoping the little slip of paper would say positive on it, but it's another thing when it actually does say it. Whew.

To answer your questions...
  • We are almost 6 weeks along and due sometime around June 12th.
  • Right now I think it will be born here in HI, but that may change.
  • I am not puking, but almost wish I could. Almost. I feel sick all day long and have to force myself to eat anything. I'm pretty sure I weigh less than what it says on my drivers license.
  • We are both stoked about this.
  • I think about all the bad things that could happen all day long. Paranoid, would probably be a good word for it.
  • Did I mention we are really excited?
This is me pretending to look pregnant. he he he

Oh no!

Li just came home and said that our other moped isn't working right. You know what this means right?

We can't go to campus to watch The Office!!!

Does anybody know how to fix it? Or want to come get us to watch it at your house? :)

And now the moment you've all been waiting for....

WE GOT MOPEDS!!!

We love them so much. We no longer spend hours waiting for the bus. We can make plans with friends and be at their house in 10 minutes instead of an hour and a half. We don't have to hitchhike to church anymore. Life is great, all because of our new wheels!!

(P.S. I totally did not mean to drag that out so long but Li wouldn't let me post it until I had a good picture.)

yep.

So our summer didn't turn out anything like we planned. But it was glorious. Here are a few highlights...
Li got to see his mommy. And his dad. And all of his brothers and sisters.
(who are scattered all over the usa.)

I got my hair chopped!

We went to Jackson Hole.

And Yellowstone.

And we wakeboarded.

Plus we also went to San Diego, hiked the Narrows, partied in Provo and lots more fun things. Somehow we managed to not take very many pictures this summer. Ooops!

Now we are back in paradise and I must say it is not as bad as I thought it was going to be. There are almost 4 miles between us and campus. 4 miles that involve a big hill, scrounging for change for a bus, generally a long wait for the bus, the actual bus ride and then another 1/2 mile walk to actually get there. Hopefully we can remedy this situation quickly!

But things are actually going really well. We've been able to spend lots of time with friends, we like our new house and our new neighbors. And we are having fun laughing at some silly adventures together.

on the road...

On our way from Florida to Utah we saw lots of funny things. Like this place called South of the Border. Words can't explain. These pictures really can't either, but take a look at them and then let your imagination go wild. And then next time you are between North and South Carolina and you see the billboards, stop. You won't regret it!!

If for nothing else, at least go for the free golf.

long strange trip

No, we didn't start out our little adventure across the USA with a UHAUL...

Especially because this is all we had to fill it up!

No, we picked up this little addition to our adventure when our car broke down near Silverthorne, CO and we needed a way to get it back home.

Li drove this whole mess for 10 hours straight, he even reversed...I was seriously impressed!
We got to Hurricane at 2am and left at 7am to go with Brett to the MTC.

WHAT A SUMMER.

Behind the Magic...

Yeah I'll tell you how we get the magic at Disney....

WE MAKE IT!!

Boy do we work hard. My shift today was from 8am until 7:30pm.
I thought it was a mistake on my schedule but they assured me that is the normal schedule.
And the Orlando sun just zaps the life out of you.

I got home and checked my schedule....Next week I am scheduled for every single day that I need off for Tina's wedding and not scheduled for a single day that I'd actually like to work. Ironic?

I am tired.

But really, it was WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!
